Terms of use

DUNYA provides prayer times, a Quran reader and player, mosque discovery and fundraiser listings, free of charge. No subscription is required and no essential feature is behind a paywall.

The Quran text comes from a verified dataset and recitations from real recordings; we never generate them. Prayer times are calculated from astronomical methods and your settings — they may differ from your local mosque’s timetable, which should be your reference.

An account is optional. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, after review. You can delete your account at any time from your profile.

Do not use DUNYA to publish false, fraudulent, hateful or unlawful content, to impersonate others, to harvest data, or to disrupt the service. Mosque and fundraiser information must be accurate and submitted in good faith.

You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant DUNYA a non-exclusive licence to display it within the service. We may moderate, correct or remove content that breaks these terms or the fundraiser listing policy.

DUNYA lists fundraisers hosted on third-party platforms. DUNYA does not collect, hold or transfer donations and takes no commission. Your donation is a matter between you, the organiser and the platform you give on.

The DUNYA name, design and code belong to their owner. Landscape photography is provided by photographers on Unsplash under the Unsplash licence and is credited on the photo credits page; it is used as ambiance and is never sold.

DUNYA is provided with care but without warranty that it will always be available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
